I was perusing through drafts of posts and found this rant about boxed wine. Since I have been too busy and too lazy to write much, here's a little post about boxed wine for you.
1. Eco Friendly- Made from recycled paper! Cornstarch for glue! Biodegradable!
2. Keeps fresh longer - Can drink from the box for a month!
3. Three bottles of wine in ONE box!!!
4. The easy pour nipple. Less spillage for sure. Especially when you're finishing off the box (see number 3.)
5. Unbreakable - Go ahead. Drop the box. Tip the box over. Bump your glass on the box. It can take it. If you've seen our plastic wine glasses you know that unbreakable ranks pretty high in our house.
6. Cheap! Cheap! - Boxed wine ends up being under $4 a bottle. That's a bargain.
7. Easier to transport- Need wine for 150? Transporting 100 boxes is a whole lot easier than 300 bottles.
8. Color coded boxes - Too drunk to remember which wine you were drinking? Labels kind of blurry? No problem. This wine is color coded. Just look for blue if you want merlot. Red for cabernet. Yellow for chardonnay and green for pinot gris. Easy peasy even if you're completely trashed.
This was supposed to be ten reasons why I should love boxed wine. It should tell you something that I was only able to come up with eight reasons. I don't love boxed wine. I don't even like boxed wine. I will not be drinking boxed wine again anytime soon. So there goes THAT idea.
I am totally on the boxed wine wagon now. Since I can't seem to drink wine enough to necessitate finishing a bottle.
ReplyDeleteWe bought these little stopper things to make ours last a little longer. But once we open a bottle, I try to commit to drinking as much as I can. Hahahaha.
